Dublin Transport Study

A number of residents have been in touch to say that there should be more discussion of the recently published Dublin City Transport Study.

While the extension of the Luas Green Line to the city centre and beyond will be of particular benefit to our area, there have been queries about the proposed exclusion of taxis from College Green and indeed the proposed closure of College Green to private cars on a 24 hour basis. This is because it is suggested that College Green should change from the current 'Bus Gate' arrangement to a more extensive pedestrian area.

While the formal consultation period from 11th to 16th June has expired, it is likely that public discussion will continue for some time
