Rathmines library centenary celebrations

 The programme of events continues next week on Monday 21st to Thursday 23rd and the following week on Wed 30th and Thursday 31st as follows: 

Monday 21st October at 6.30pm
The Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society: 100 Years – Speaker Nora O’Rourke. 

Tuesday 22nd October at 6.30pm 
A History of St. Louis High School, Rathmines: 100 Years – Speaker Sr. Eilis O’Thiarnaigh. 

Wednesday 23rd October at 10am and 11.30pm 
Children’s Book Festival in Rathmines. Brian Gallagher, children’s author, discusses his book ‘Across the Divide’. Booking essential.

Wednesday 23rd October at 6.30pm
A Sense of Place. A literary evening with local writers chaired by Niall MacMonagle

Thursday 24th October at 6.30pm
Official Anniversary Celebration – officiated by Lord Mayor of Dublin, Oisín Quinn. 

Wednesday 30th October at 3.30pm
Hannah and Francis Sheehy Skeffington a Family View – a talk by Dr Micheline Sheehy Skeffington. 
The related exhibition 'Hannah and her Sisters' will be display during October

Thursday 31st October at 8pm 
The Gaelic League in Dublin in 1913: 20 years a-growing?– a talk by Dr Séamas Ó Maitiú. 

All events are free, but booking is essential at Rathmines Library rathmineslibrary@dublincity.ie
